The westerly winds at high level of upper air still prevails across the upper North. Cool to cold spells remain in the North with morning fog with isolated thick patches. Farmers watch for crop’s failure in the lower North, the lower Northeast, the East and the lower Central.  \r\nAnother rather strong high-pressure system from China covers the Southern of China. It is expected to cover the Northeast of Thailand and the Gulf on 30 January, with variable weather conditions. Outbreaks of thundershowers will be likely with dropping in temperature by 6-8 °C and strong winds, affecting the Northeast first and then the rest regions. \r\nThe northeast monsoon will get stronger over the Gulf forcing more rain and isolated heavy downpours in the Gulf.
